In order to allay these doubts and reassure visitors to our website, we would like to explain what happens to data received by Holsten-Brauerei AG and what action we have taken to ensure adequate data protection. We attach great importance to the protection and confidential treatment of your personal data.

    We use your personal data solely for the purposes of answering your questions, processing your orders or enabling you to gain access to additional information or offers. In order to satisfy your requirements, it may be necessary to store and process your personal data (forename, surname, address etc.). In the interests of economy, our policy is to reduce the amount of data collected, stored and processed to the minimum required for the relevant purpose. Please note that you do not need to complete all details of our questionnaire. We emphasise that we do not use such data to create user profiles. We also collect data on the number of visits to our website because this provides information about the general interests and preferences of our visitors. These data are in statistical form and anonymous. We also automatically collect and store information transmitted to us by your browser, e.g. the IP address. All personal data are treated in accordance with German legal requirements.

    Any subcontractors and agents used by us to provide services requested by you receive the necessary amount of data for this purpose, but are required to treat them confidentially in accordance with the law and to erase them immediately when they are no longer needed. Personal data are stored until the service requested by you has been provided but in no case for more than 6 months. It goes without saying that you can request deletion of all or part of your personal data at any time and we will comply with this request immediately.

    Children should not transmit any personal data to the Holsten website without the consent of their parents or guardian. Holsten-Brauerei AG urges all parents and guardians to teach their children to be cautious and responsible with their personal data in the Internet. Holsten-Brauerei AG will never knowingly collect or use personal data of children in any way or disclose such data to third parties without authorisation.

    As brewers and consequently manufacturers of alcoholic beverages, we are aware of our special responsibility towards the younger age groups and have a strict policy of not handing out advertising materials bearing our brand logos to children and young persons under the age of 18.

  • Holsten-Brauerei AG takes organisational and technical precautions to ensure security of personal data. Your data are conscientiously protected against loss, falsification, manipulation and unauthorised access or disclosure. Our safety precautions are regularly improved to conform to state-of-the-art technological standards in the Internet.

    Holsten-Brauerei AG uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption for the transmission of personal data. SSL is specially designed for the creation of a secure communication link between two points. A 128-bit SSL encryption is secure by present-day technical standards.

    Holsten-Brauerei AG sometimes uses cookies on its website to facilitate its use. A cookie contains information sent by our website to the visitor’s browser for storage there and its sole purpose is to enable us to recognise the visitor on subsequent visits.
